Updated: Jul 1

From Tuesday 1 July, several of Djuwang Baring Gravity trails will be closed so planned maintenance and restoration works can occur, ensuring this popular asset is ready for the next peak season. The affected trails are G1, G2, G3, G5, G6, G7, G8, G9, and part of G10

Please note that G4 blue climb and sections of G10 will remain open so riders can access other parts of the trail network

This equates to 7.3 km of the 60 km trail network, which means 12% of the trails are temporarily closed, or looking on the bright side, 88% remain open and ready to ride!

Whether you're a glass-half-full or half-empty kind of rider, there's still plenty of trails to explore and enjoy.

The closure is part of our annual program for the trails and ensures the intended rider experience on each of the trails is preserved.

We'll be monitoring the weather impacts over the coming months but are planning to reopen in September once the wet season has passed. Stay safe, ride smart, and keep an eye out for further updates.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

Hepburn Shire Council acknowledge the Dja Dja Wurrung as the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters on which we live and work.

On these lands, Djaara have performed age-old ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal. We recognise their resilience through dispossession, and it is a testament to their culture and tradition, which is strong and thriving.

We also acknowledge the neighbouring Traditional Owners, the Wurrundjeri to our Southeast and the Wadawurrung to our Southwest, and we pay our respects to all Aboriginal peoples, their culture, and lore.

We acknowledge their living culture and the unique story they play in the life of this region in which the Hepburn region resides and operates.
